Skatter for SketchUp
The most powerful scattering extension for SketchUp.
Render huge amounts of vegetation, crowds, carpets, quickly populate city blocks, create parametric assemblies, and more - all right inside SketchUp! For each license of Skatter, you can install it on no more than two computers, provided that it is used on only one computer at a time.
The “Render only” feature is currently supported by V-Ray, Thea, Corona, Octane, Indigo, Enscape, Shaderlight, IRender nXt, Twilight Pro, Raylectron and Kerkythea. But you can still use Skatter with any other render engine (Maxwell, Podium, LightUp, etc), by actually generating the objects in the model.

Render Hundreds of Thousands of Objects
Through its “Render only” feature, Skatter sends all the scattering information directly to the render engines, bypassing Sketchup. That way, you keep a lightweight and responsive file while still being able to render huge amounts of objects.
Fully Parametric
Every option and parameter is saved, so there’s no need to delete everything and restart from scratch - Go back and edit your work at any time.
Content Library
Scatter grass, trees, bushes, gravel, rocks and more. You can even save your own presets to reuse later, and share them with others.
Fine Control
Keep things simple with the adaptive UI, while having access to dozens of options and parameters.
Hosts
Scatter objects on surfaces, along curves, or pick individual points in the model.
Areas
Use SketchUp curves and objects, or paint your own, to define precise areas where you want to distribute scattered objects.
Camera Clipping
Generate only the objects visible by the camera, or discard the ones too far away to optimise your scene.
Distribution
Use altitude, slope, and collisions parameters to fine tune the distribution. Use probabilities when scattering multiple types of objects, to define precise mixtures. Distribute objects randomly, on a grid, or a mix of the two, on vertices, faces, etc.
Randomness
Randomise the objects placement by using random translation, rotation, scale, and mirroring to break repetition.
Falloffs
Use falloff parameters with areas, altitude, slope, and camera clipping to define smooth transitions and avoid hard cutoffs.
