Expand the export functionality of Maya with SimLab plugins. Simlab Importers for Maya help you collaborate with other designers across various software, such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and so many more. This exporter works out of the box for most models, but there are settings to help you control the scale of the model and the up vector to be used. All plugins support Maya 2010-2025, unless otherwise stated.

3D PDF Importer for Maya
Import 3D PDF (.pdf and .u3d) into Maya. Materials, geometries, materials and textures are supported and will be exported into your 3D PDF. Design your 3D PDF template to suit your brand guidelines and tastes. You can also merge 3D PDF files within the Simlabs Exporter. Choose between fixed and floating licenses.
SketchUp Importer for Maya
Import your SketchUp (.skp) files into Maya. These file types work with SketchUp version 2022 and above. The plugin transfers geometries, materials, colours and textures, and there are options to scale, rotate, and change up vector upon importing into SketchUp.
SOLIDWORKS Importer for Maya
Import your SOLIDWORKS (.sldprt and .sldasm) files into Maya. These file types work with SOLIDWORKS version 2024 and older. The plugin transfers geometries, materials, colours and textures, and there are options to scale, rotate, and change up vector upon importing into SOLIDWORKS.
Solid Edge Importer for Maya
Import your Solid Edge (.ipt, .iges and .igs) files into Maya. These file types work with Solid Edge ST7 to 2023. The plugin transfers geometries, materials, colours and textures, and there are options to scale, rotate, and change up vector upon importing into Maya.
GLTF Importer for Maya
Import both binary GLTF (.glb) and ASCI GLTF (.gltf) files into Maya. This plugin retains animations, keyframes, geometries, materials, and textures, plus you can scale, rotate, and change the up vector upon exporting. This is great when working with Stakeholders on Autodesk 3ds Max and Cinema 4D.
Solid Edge Importer for Maya
